About Your Guide

Craig’s love and passion for the African bush and wildlife makes him the perfect host with whom to explore this magnificent wilderness.

Your Guide

He is extremely well-qualified and experienced and he has a profound knowledge of the game reserve in which he has spent so much of his life. As he is also a Kruger Park certified field guide who conducts guided walks through the park, he has an intimate knowledge of the area, wildlife, birds and vegetation that only comes from experiencing the African bush on foot

He is an avid birder, tree expert and all round naturalist, as well as having a deep interest in the lore of the Kruger Park. Being an amateur astronomer, at night around the campfire, he’ll take you on a sightseeing “tour” through the endless stars and galaxies above!

A deep-seated love of his country enriches his safaris and his committed expertise, thoughtful insights, and energy make his guiding an enjoyable and relaxed experience.

African Elephant African Elephant herd

The African elephant is common throughout the Kruger National Park. Elephants eat roots, grasses, fruit, and bark – up to 300kgs per day in the case of an adult bull. These huge animals do not sleep much, instead roaming over vast distances, consuming large quantities of food they require to sustain their massive bulk.
